Leadership comes in many forms and you don’t have to have a title to be considered a leader.  In this presentation, Don would like to share his thoughts on how we all are leaders – or can be.  It doesn’t matter if we are a member of a club, a club officer, a district officer, or even an international officer, we can all lead in different ways.  Don is also looking forward to hearing from some volunteers in the audience who are willing to share their ideas on leadership and how they can contribute to the success of the district.

A former television news anchor and reporter, Kim’s work has been featured on CNN, CBS and the global TEDx program. Through her speaking platform Kim Presents, she is known for inspiring audiences to achieve their potential through the power of creativity, imagination, and forward thinking. A fun fact: Kim’s career began as a Walt Disney World Cast Member in Orlando, Florida where she made magic as an entertainer, while also serving as a tour-guide, and show host.

Ramping up for Pathways! – Maryann Reichelt, DTM

Get ready … Pathways is on the horizon!

Toastmasters International has developed a communication and leadership program that brings 21st century tools to its communication and leadership program.

Distinguished Toastmaster Maryann Reichelt is the District 54 Chief Club Ambassador. She has been involved in Pathways since 2013 and has a team of Club Ambassadors that are ready to bring the Pathways message to all the clubs within the District.

Maryann first joined Toastmasters as a charter member of First Card Toastmasters, now known as Toast of the Fox Toastmasters. She is also a member of three other clubs in District 54 and District 30. Over her 22 years as a Toastmaster Maryann has served in all club officer roles as well as several District 54 roles as Public Relations Officer, New Club Coordinator, Area Governor and is now Parliamentarian. Additionally, Maryann has presented at several TLIs and District Conferences over the years.

She is enthused about the rollout of Pathways and the enhanced communication and leadership paths it brings to all members.

We Found the Missing Members of Your Club – Noel Ganay, DTM

Noel Ganay is the 2017-2018 District 30 West Division Director. He is also the Club President for Nalco Toastmasters in Naperville in District 30, and Talk of the Town Toastmasters in Batavia in District 54. He had served as the Public Relations Manager for District 54 in 2016-2017 and has given workshops on marketing, publicity, and membership growth. In his first year as a Toastmaster, two and a half years ago, Noel helped his Nalco Toastmasters club gain 17 members in one year. His employee resource group that he is a chair for, gained 5 new members after one Lunch and Learn event. He has assisted in both District 54 and 30 in membership drives, open houses, and even Demonstration Meetings.
